This shoe looks great and is reasonably priced. It's not the most comfortable shoe for kickboxing, but it was not constructed for that purpose. When doing kicks, especially the roundhouse kicks, the friction between the shoe and the mats hinders the movement and takes a lot of the power out of the kick. In a real life situation on the street, you will probably experience something similar with shoes on pavement, but in the classroom, you want maximum power when kicking. Just something to consider before buying. I am sure it's a fine shoe for wrestling or ground based martial arts like BJJ.This shoe runs small in size. Ever since I stopped growing, I have worn a size 10 in every shoe I've owned, including my ASICS running shoes. But, these shoes ran small lengthwise and widthwise.
